Dr. Michele Edelmann grew up in Ocean Township, New Jersey. She completed her undergraduate and veterinary education at the University of Pennsylvania, receiving her VMD in 2012. Her veterinary training continued with a one-year rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at North Carolina State University, followed by a three-year residency in comparative ophthalmology at Cornell University. She passed her specialty board examination immediately following her residency to earn her Diplomate status in the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists (DACVO) in 2016. Dr. Edelmann has published several journal articles on the subjects of canine corneal ulcers, cherry eye, ocular parasites, ocular tumors, and equine cataract surgery.
Dr. Edelmann is interested in all aspects of ophthalmology and has a passion for ophthalmic surgery. In her free time, she enjoys dance, yoga, skiing, and travel.
