Dr. Katrina Cusack obtained her degree in veterinary medicine from University College of Dublin (Ireland) in 2014. After veterinary school, she went on to complete a 1-year rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery, as well as a 1-year internal medicine internship at VCA Newark Animal Hospital. After her internships, she worked as an emergency doctor at VCA Newark for one year. She completed her residency in Cardiology at Texas A&M University prior to moving back to the north east. She worked at VCA Veterinary Referral and Emergency Center as a full-time cardiologist prior to joining GSVSpecialists in 2023. Her special interests include complex congenital heart disease, interventional therapies, and management of complex arrhythmias.
Dr. Cusack enjoys traveling abroad, reading, going to the beach, and spending time at home with her family.
